Lighthouse Christian Academy is here as a lighthouse to the working families of Key West and the Lower Florida Keys. Child care is obviously an important choice. Our biggest desire is that the child development that’s available here from infant to Pre-K, is a true educational experience.

Holiday School Closing

LCA is a year round school. We are open from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday.

We do have 12 designated days that the school is closed to observe the following holidays for 2022 - 2023:

  1. Independence Day - July 4, 2022 (Monday)

  2. Labor Day - September 5, 2022 (Monday)

  3. Veteran’s Day  – November 11, 2022 (Friday)

  4. Thanksgiving - November 24, 2022 (Thursday)

  5. Friday After Thanksgiving – November 25, 2022

  6. Christmas Eve – December 23, 2022 (Friday Christmas Eve Observed)

  7. Christmas - December 26, 2022 (Monday Christmas Observed)

  8. New Years Day observed - January 2, 2023 (Monday)

  9. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day - January 16, 2023 (Monday)

  10. Presidents Day – February 20, 2023 (Monday)

  11. Good Friday – April 7, 2023

  12. Memorial Day - May 29, 2023 (Monday)

Emergency Closing

In case of local weather emergencies, LCA will contact families through the LCA emergency broadcasting system. (Via phone and email blasts)

We will do our best to use our automated phone system to notify you of such closings and re-openings. Please be sure that the LCA office has the best number to reach in case of these emergency closings.
